You have been reading on here for 3 years now about our fearless wild women who has all the energy in the world. She will climb, jump, ride, race all in the name of fun. I wish I could tell you it was one of her many adventures that landed her with a broken arm. Sadly, it was merely playing with friends at the mall, in the cushioned play area no less, and an innocent game of leap frog. She took a leap (on flat, solid ground) lost her balance, fell to her right funny and just so happened to catch herself with the perfect spot on her arm. And break it. I knew immediately something was very wrong b/c Kenz is not one to complain about pain. Nor is she one to stop playing with friends. The true test came however when we were leaving the mall to go out to our car. I made one final stop in the Disney Store. Kenz was in the stroller and didn't get up to touch a THING! In the Disney Store?! Are you kidding me??? I knew we were in trouble. *Sigh* These things happen, right? (let's hope not again. Soon anyways.) The cast was on for a month and she was elated to get it off last Thursday before Halloween. Here's the journey ;)
1.Thursday: we left the mall, had a Dr. appt. that afternoon, the Xray confirmed broken. Sent us home with a sling and told us that they would make us an appt. with the Pediatric Orth. Dr. and let us know when that was. She was not a happy camper :(
2. 4 Days later, Monday, she was able to get her cast on (they wait for swelling to go down). Here she is getting wrapped!
3. She was able to choose her color. They had hot pink you say?!?! Oh hello, this was now the girl's newest, most favorite accessory!
4. Her cast was totally covered with signatures and pictures for all of her sweet friends, teachers and family of course!
